Your Validation

Don't let what others use to validate them, validate you.  If you always look to another person for approval, then you miss the beauty of being different.  You see, your uniqueness is not going to get approved by everyone.  If you don't know and accept you for you, then you will forever be wondering in the wilderness.  It is imperative that you be secure in your own skin.  People will let you down.  They have their own agendas.  At some point you must ask yourself how you feel about a person and not always let it be about how they feel about you.  It is ok to not worry about whether or not they like what you have on or what color your lipstick is.  It is ok to not worry about whether or not they ever speak to you again because they didn't like your opinion.  The key to being strong and standing alone is to be sure of who you are.  No pretending!!.  If people cannot like you for that then they don't need to be in your circle.  It takes too much energy to entertain foolishness and pretend to be something that you are not.  In life we all need some constructive criticism.  Constructive is one thing but just make sure that the critic is one that you trust and believe in.
