Stand Up For Something...

You have heard the saying that if you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.  This is one of the truest statements of all times.  What this means is that if you don't have a set of beliefs that you stand on, you will fall for everything or every word that proceeds out of the mouths of others.  The Bible references studying to show thyself approved.  You must have your own proven knowledge about subjects that matter to you.  If every one can always sway your thoughts, then you don't stand on your own knowledge.  You are just following the crowd which will eventually get you killed (not in the physical sense).  But we all know that mental and spiritual death is worse sometimes than physical.  If you continue to sway, you will never accomplish your own goals or have your freedom in life.  It is imperative that you find your way by studying first and then applying the principles of what you have learned.  You are accountable for you and the sooner you realize that, the sooner your successes will come.  I challenge you today to stand up for something that is important to you.  But I do caution you to be well versed and educated on the subject matter. You will be challenged and your mind has to be strong.  Just because some people are bolder doesn't mean they are smarter or ahead of you in the game. After all, the person bringing the challenge (no matter how hard they come) may just need the education on the subject themselves. You might as well be the one to teach them.
