Out With The Old and In With The New...

July 5, 2012

It's time you realize that you will not wear that again.  It is time that you accept that he is not coming back.  Let the memorabilia go.  Believe it or not, the STUFF that you are holding on to can keep you from prospering like you want and or moving forward with your life.  When I go to speak with others I tell my story.  I was engaged once and after the relationship ended I kept the ring.  Although I wore it on my right hand, it was still a problem.  The ring was quite the stunner.  I told myself and others who admired that it was just a piece of jewelry.  It was only until I met a man that spoke to me candidly, that I really got the full understanding of what I was really doing.  You can not ask God to bless you with the man of your dreams and you are still wearing the remnants of the last man of your dreams (some of you will get that later today).  You see, this man shared with me that men are reluctant to speak to a woman wearing jewelry pieces like that because silently it becomes a competition.  Some men tend to feel less than when they are not in the same position to be able to afford US.  He also said that it is also a guessing game as to if you are still in love with the last and will you ever be able to be true to him.  This is just something to think about.  In order to be successful even in relationships, your job, your business or anything else, you must consider everything.  Don't just rearrange your closet, get rid of the things that you do not need anymore.  Let it go and move on because the clutter is holding you back.

By the way, the moral to this story is that 2 weeks after taking the ring off and putting it in my safe, I met my husband and we are still going strong 16 years later.

  2. Good morning and thanks for sharing...boy does this story ring loud in my backyard. I switched back to my engagement ring and the excuse I would tell myself is that I'm so use to wearing a ring now that it would feel odd to to not have one there, but the truth to the matter is, I was still silently holding on to a memory that I really didn't want to keep. Have a wonderful weekend and stay out my backyard
