The attitude of gratitude is one of the most appealing qualities that a person can have. Being grateful says that you appreciate someone. This is how we should be toward Christ and what he does for us on a regular basis. Our spirit should be grateful at all times. This is what prompts God to do more for us and continue to bless us with the things that we want and need. The gratitude should no stop there though. It should be from person to person. Everyday someone does something for you (unless you are a man/woman on an island alone). Whether it is the person who brought you a piece of their home baked pie, the person who lets you pass in front of them in line or even the mailman simply doing his job of service to deliver your mail. These are all things to be grateful for. If you would take time to show them that they mater, you wouldn't believe the favor that will be placed on your life just for doing so. I am particularly grateful for the janitors that clean up after the nasty public on a daily basis. I try to find time to let them know that I am so thankful for the service that they provide. Just letting them know that, puts a smile on their face. You never know what a person in their shoes may need at that time. That is a tough job and they are the ones that choose to do it. So the next time that you pass by these people of service, make it a point to let them know you appreciate them. Give the compliment that could change their day. You never know when it might be you in need of the same.
