The Birthing Room

January 29, 2013

The birthing room is a place where magic happens.  It is a very sterile and cold environment to keep germs and disease away from the mother and child.  If you think back to the moment you knew that it was time, then you will remember the pressure you felt and the urge to push.  The baby was coming.  When it is time for the baby to be delivered, the anxiety can cause your mind to play tricks on you.  You feel a bit of fear and excitement, both at the same time.  They keep a close watch on your blood pressure because it could spike and cause problems for you and your unborn child.  The birthing room is a place where things can go real well or just the opposite.  You must remain calm at all times.  If you panic, you can slow the delivery down.  You see, the baby reacts to what you are doing and how you are feeling.  The thing that we have to remember is that no matter what, the baby has to get here.  Only you can push him or her out.  The doctor or midwife is just there to guide.  You and the child have to do all of the work.  It is no different with your life.  This is the birthing room.  You have been pregnant with purpose and now it is time to deliver.  The world awaits what you have to offer.  You have no time to have second thoughts because this baby is coming regardless.  Don't let the enemy trick you into carrying the baby too long causing a still birth delivery. The window of time for you to get it out is very short.  Let all of your apprehensions go.  Relax and breathe through the process.  After all everybody knows that in spite of the 9 months that you carry the baby, the birth only takes a few minutes.
